Getting the Most Out of Your Wax Melts: Tips for Optimal Fragrance Enjoyment

Do you want to ensure you get the most out of your wax melts?  Here are some valuable tips to help you get a longer lasting fragrance.

Proper Storage:

To maintain the quality of your wax melts, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Treat them like little vampires! Heat and sunlight can cause the melts to soften, lose their shape, and even use some fragrance depending how hot they get. Keeping them in their original packaging when not in use helps preserve their scent and prevents any dust or debris from contaminating them.

Use a Wax Melter, Not an Oil Burner:

It's crucial to use a dedicated wax melter designed specifically for wax melts, not an oil burner. Please be careful and if you are unsure always ask the seller.  Typically oil burners are shorter and smaller than wax warmers.  The distance from bottom of burner to base of dish should be from 9 cm and up for tea light burners.  Wax melters are engineered to reach the ideal temperature to release the fragrance slowly and evenly, ensuring a more satisfying scent experience.  So choosing the right one is vital.

Optimal Wax Melter Temperature:

Also not all wax melts are the same.  Some are made to melt slowly and need higher heat, like my wax melts.  This allows them to travel better to hotter countries too!  But it also means that using an electric burner for some melts may not work if the burner does not get hot enough.  Some are designed to be low wattage and work in the softer melts.  As for mine for example, they need the higher watt warmers to achieve full melt pool and full scent throw.  All tried and tested to find the best warmers for our melts so you do not have to.  So if you see warmers in our store, they will work perfectly with my melts.

Variation in Fragrances:

Understand that different wax melts offer varying longevity and intensity of fragrance. Some scents might last longer than others due to variations in their composition. Stronger scents may require fewer cubes to achieve the desired aroma, while lighter ones might necessitate more. Experiment with different scents to find what works best for you and your nose.

Adjusting for Room Size and Melter Design:

If your melter dish is large, or if your room has multiple openings or is expansive, consider using extra wax cubes to intensify the fragrance. Larger spaces may require more melts to disperse the scent effectively and maintain a consistent aroma throughout the room.

By following these simple tips, you can ensure that your wax melts deliver a delightful and long-lasting fragrance, creating a soothing and inviting ambiance in your home. Remember, the joy of wax melts lies not only in their smell but also in the cozy atmosphere they create. Enjoy xx
